Q: What are the similarities and differences between the UF and RO Water Purifier?

A: Both our UF and RO Water Purifiers use the same core pre-filters (5 micron PP filter, 5 micron carbon block filter, and 1 micron PP filter). They both also remove or inactivate a variety of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms from the water.  However, the key difference lies in their capacity to remove dissolved minerals from the water (e.g. sodium, calcium, magnesium, etc).

The UF Water Purifier does not remove dissolved minerals, so in areas with high total dissolved solids (i.e. >300 ppm), there may still be an undesirable taste from the high minerals left in the water. These are not harmful, but they may impact your drinking experience.

The RO Water Purifier can remove dissolved minerals due to the fine pores of our RO membrane. In areas with high total dissolved solids, this is what we would recommend for you. However, it must be noted that the RO Water Purifier also has wastewater it must throw out as part of its process of making safe and pure drinking water.

Q: Does the Nûma Water Purifier make alkaline water?

A: No, neither the UF or RO Water Purifier makes alkaline water. The UF Water Purifier retains the original pH of the source water, while the RO Water Purifier makes pH neutral drinking water.

Q: What are the consumables I need to purchase regularly?

A: The pre-filters for both the UF and RO Water Purifiers need to be replaced regularly to ensure that your water is safe and up to our standards in taste. We provide our Nûma Water Tracker with all our water purifiers to track your water usage to remind you when it is time to change the filters. Please refer to the instructional manuals of the water purifiers to know when to change the filters.

Q: How do I install the Nûma Water Purifier?

A: We do not recommend that you personally install the unit in order to ensure that the system is working properly and the water is up to our standards in terms of safety and taste. Please contact us to arrange for an installation schedule should you want to purchase a unit from us.

Q: What are the requirements for the Nûma Water Purifier to run properly?

  • An available water supply with water pressure of 20-40 psi

  • Electrical Provision of 220-240V/60 Hz

  • A clean space, away from direct sunlight (please refer to the instructional manuals for the dimensions of the UF and RO Water Purifiers)

A:

Q: How different is the Nûma Smart Dispenser compared to a regular one?

A: Our Smart Dispenser offers features that regular water dispenser may not have, these are:

  • Auto-refill

  • Adjustable hot and cold water temperatures

  • Auto-dispensing

  • Re-boil

  • Hot water safety lock

  • Low water warning

Q: How much electricity does it consume?

A: The Smart Dispenser consumes between 2.5 to 5 kW of electricity in a 24-hour period, depending on how much water is being drawn from the dispenser throughout the day.

Q: How much hot and cold water can the Nûma Smart Dispenser produce?

A: The capacity of the Smart Dispenser for hot water is 6 liters per hour at 90°C, and 3 liters per hour at 10°C for cold water.

Q: How do I install the Nûma Smart Dispenser?

A: We do not recommend that you personally install the unit in order to ensure that the system is working properly and the water is up to our standards in terms of safety and taste. Please contact us to arrange for an installation schedule should you want to purchase a unit from us.

Q: Can I use my own water purifier to pair with the Nûma Smart Dispenser Solo?

A: Yes, should you choose to, you may use your own water purifier to feed into our Nûma Smart Dispenser Solo model. However, we cannot guarantee that the water quality will be up to our standards because we cannot ascertain the quality of third-party water purifiers. There is also a risk for damage to the Smart Dispenser should any impurities clog or scale up its internal components.

Q: What is the difference between the Smart Dispenser Solo and the Smart Dispenser Max?

A: The Smart Dispenser is purely a dispenser without any built-in filtration and requires an external water purifier to be attached to it to provide safe and clean drinking water. The Smart Dispenser Max comes with a built-in UF filtration system, however we only recommend this for areas with relatively low dissolved solids (i.e. less than 300 ppm) and low water water hardness (i.e. less than 120 ppm CaCO3 or 7 grains per gallon) to prevent damage to the internal components.

Q: Where are your serviceable areas?

A: Currently, we service Cebu and NCR. But if you reside outside these areas and are interested in our products, please contact us so we can try to arrange a way to service you.

Q:  Is there a warranty period for your products?

A: Yes, our Water Purifiers and Smart Dispensers come with a 1-year limited warranty for certain components. For details on this, please refer to their respective instructional manuals.

A: You may contact our sales hotline directly for any order placements. Our sales hotline is available between Mondays to Fridays 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
